Capacity Building for Marine Litter Monitoring in Estuary Area in Collaboration with Center for South East Asian Studies (CSEAS) Agenda

Through its experience, RC3S have identified major capacity gaps in marine litter monitoring with regard to applying standardized methods of monitoring and assessment, and establishing local monitoring programmes to inform decision making on marine litter. This capacity building activity aims to build the foundation for participants to develop monitoring and assessment programmes for marine litter to enable them to: (1) Independently establish/design a programme to monitor and assess the distribution and abundance of plastic litter in accordance with Indonesia National Guideline; (2) Report on the distribution and abundance of plastic litter; and (3) Use data to inform and guide policy
